Malta’s COVID-19 cases have continued to climb after the Ministry announced that the nation has recorded 96 new patients over the last 24 hours.

With three recoveries, active cases now stand at 252.

It should be noted that zero deaths were recorded and that the number of hospitalisations still remains low. Most new cases have been attributed to non-vaccinated people.

It appears that most cases are incoming tourists. Yesterday there were reports that a hotel had some 70 new cases. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
