COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Rollout For Immunosuppressed Patients Starts Today
Immunosuppressed patients living in Malta will start receiving their booster shots today, Health Minister Chirs Fearne said in a tweet this morning.
Last week, booster shots also started to be administered to the elderly in what was the start of Malta’s booster shot campaign.

Having raced ahead with its vaccine rollout Malta has launched its booster shot campaign over fears that the vaccine’s waning level of protection with time could see a resurgence of the virus, which has been kept largely under control throughout the summer, despite the relatively large influx of tourists.
The start of the booster shot rollout among the elderly was moved forward after clusters of the virus were identified within care homes earlier this month.
Malta has so far fully vaccinated over 90% of its population aged 12 and over.
