In response to the soaring demand for radiographers, Malta’s Health Minister Jo-Etienne Abela has announced the opening of new positions aimed particularly at encouraging Maltese and European professionals to join the local healthcare workforce.

These positions are not just any temporary roles; they come with indefinite contracts, promising long-term career opportunities in the healthcare sector.

Due to the high demand, there is also an application for radiographers from countries outside the European Union with a definite contract.

“I am committed to doing everything to not keep the patient waiting. For me the patient has always come and continues to come first and foremost,” Abela wrote.

This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to bolster the healthcare system and ensure that patients receive timely care, with the Minister emphasising the patient’s needs will continue to be a priority.

Interested candidates are encouraged to seize this chance and apply.
