Malta Is The First Country To Pass The National Threshold For Safe Abortion

The @myvoicemychoiceorg campaign has hit a major milestone as Malta officially surpassed its national threshold of verified signatures in support of safe abortion access.

Bulgaria also submitted 6,552 verified signatures in support of the initiative with 4,278 signatures confirmed in Malta, with an error rate of less than 5%.

Notably, Malta, where abortion remains almost entirely banned and those seeking it can face prison, has become the first country to officially pass the national threshold. This marks a significant step forward in the ongoing fight for reproductive rights across Europe.
