Malta’s 1400 Health Helpline Received Over 10,000 Calls In Just Five Months

Malta’s health helpline 1400 saw over 10,000 calls in just over five months since its launch in May.
Minister for Health and Active Ageing Jo Etienne Abela took to Facebook with a post sharing the number of calls and where the cases were dealt with.
The helpline directed 2084 calls to telemedicine, 3354 to Mater Dei, 3747 to health centres and 2326 to private clinics.
This service aims to guide patients in need of urgent but non-emergency medical assistance toward the best care, close to home and in the shortest time possible.
