Menopause is something half the population will experience, yet it remains a topic rarely discussed openly.
That’s why on Saturday 8th March, an inclusive, evidence-based workshop will be taking place at Domain Academy, Mosta, to help break the stigma and provide practical tools to manage menopause’s impact.
Menopause: The Ins and Outs will run from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, led by Helen McGillivray, a nurse and CBT practitioner, who will introduce Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques—a mindfulness-based approach to help individuals manage symptoms without feeling overwhelmed.
The event is not just for women but also for partners, family members and professionals who want to gain a deeper understanding of menopause and its effects.
Attendees can expect:
– A 2.5-hour interactive workshop led by Helen McGillivray
– A panel discussion featuring experts in health psychology, sexuality, mental health, and life coaching
-Practical exercises to try during the session
-Tea and snack breaks for networking and open conversations
Menopause affects far more than just physical health—it impacts relationships, work and mental well-being.
Many partners struggle to understand how to support their loved ones, while workplaces often overlook menopause-related challenges, leading to burnout, absenteeism and increased stress.
This workshop is about normalising the conversation and equipping individuals with the tools to navigate this life transition—whether for yourself, a loved one, or to foster a more inclusive workplace.
