Massacring trees can sometimes feel like a national pastime, and while we lament the loss of trees that have existed for years, we can’t help but wonder what some areas would look like if there was a little green foresight in planning.

These renders were created to show how much more inviting these spaces would be and how much less blistering they’d feel in summer. They are not scientifically accurate when it comes to tree species or placement.

But if we could create these in a day, couldn’t something similar but safe have been done with a little bit more effort?
