Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar (FAA) invites the public to step back in time this Saturday with Rails & Relics: Birkirkara Railway Museum Tour — a unique cultural event that celebrates Malta’s often-overlooked railway history alongside one of the island’s most treasured heritage sites.

“Through photographs, memorabilia, and stories passed down through generations, the museum captures the social and economic impact of the railway- from facilitating trade and travel, to transforming daily life for many Maltese during the early 20th century,” said FAA

The tour on 3rd May will be starting from the St Paul’s Church in Birkirkara where participants will be able to see the Lenten Plates Exhibition. From there, visitors will move on to explore the original station building as well as the museum itself.

The experience will conclude with a light refreshment in the Railway Garden which was once part of the station grounds.

If you’re interested in travelling back in time with this experience, you’re invited to visit FAA’s website for tickets: www.faa.org.mt/events
