Firework watching is the most summery Maltese past time ever. There’s just something about watching a multitude of colours explode in the sky which really makes us feel excited.

Add a set of professional shots to the mix, and you’re looking at an even longer period of enjoyment. And that’s exactly what happened last month in the Gozitan hilltop village of Nadur.

The guys from Anaca Photography had a bonerific night-time adventure on the 28th of June as they witnessed the best fireworks displayed on our island this year.

The hour-long fireworks show was from none other than the Għaqda tan-Nar San Pietru u San Pawl of Nadur, dubbed The Rising Sun show.

The photographers were around six fields away from where the fireworks were being shot, between Nadur and Għajnsielem.

They sat down on a rubble wall and took these amazing shots as they semi-worried about whether or not their equipment would collapse along with the ħajt tas-sejjieħ.

And by the looks of things, it was absolutely worth every second.
