In Photos: Super Duo! Pair Of Ritz-Carlton Megayachts Arrive In Valletta
A pair of huge megayachts flying the Maltese flag added a whole lot of glamour to Valletta’s Grand Harbour yesterday.
The megayachts, named ILMA and EVRIMA, are actually part of the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
Built earlier this year and revealed last month, ILMA (meaning “water” in Maltese) was revealed, showing off its spacious suites, private terraces, open-air lounges, multiple dining experiences, a spa and an aft marina right on the water. With the highest ratio of space per guest at sea, Ilma features 224 suites, five restaurants, six bars and a wine vault.
The 624-foot EVRIMA, meanwhile, which was named after a word of Greek origin meaning “discovery”, is just as impressive, having been built in 2021 and being able to host 298 passengers.

EVRIMA kicked off its sailing itinerary yesterday, eventually stopping in Nice. ILMA’s maiden voyage, meanwhile, kicked off earlier this week, stopping in Malta during an Italy to Italy cruise. Prices for round trips on the superyachts went for anything from €6,000 to just under €13,000.
“We are committed to continuing to welcome this type of investment to our country and to further moving towards a more sustainable direction in this industry,” Transport Malta said yesterday, sharing some incredible photos of the two massive vessels.
