Coming Soon: Two-Hour Interview With Finance Minister Clyde Caruana

Ahead of the 2025 Budget, Lovin Malta’s Tim Diacono sat down with Finance Minister Clyde Caruana to discuss several issues of national importance.

The interview, which was around two hours long, will be released in full over the weekend.

In it, Caruana discusses his plan to revamp Malta’s taxation system, which effectively allows foreign companies to only pay 5% tax, and the reasoning behind the new ban on cash salary payments.

He also offers his thoughts on Malta’s education system, the impact of AI and the Green New Deal, the Malta Film Commission, whether land reclamation is possible, and why the PL suffered at the polls last June.
