From Robert Abela To Jason Azzopardi: Lovin Malta’s Recent Interviews
Lovin Malta interviewed a number of high-profile people in recent weeks, sparking widespread discussions.
If you’ve missed them and need to catch up, here’s a quick recap of the Lovin Meets series.
1. Robert Abela
In one of his longest interviews ever, Prime Minister Robert Abela spoke to Tim Diacono about several national issues such as the Y plate and food courier dilemma, AI, and power cuts, as well as internal PL politics.
2. Jason Azzopardi
The man who lift the lid on the ID card racket, Jason Azzopardi broke down the potential implications of the scandal, as well as other hot national and political issues. In this interview, Azzopardi also denounced Abela as an “elitist”.
3. Bernard Grech
The Leader of the Opposition explained some aspects of his vision for Malta on matters such as tax cuts, electricity liberalisation, housing, and low-paying jobs. This interview was notably disrupted by a power cut, which Grech used to make a political point.
4. Jason Micallef
Shortly before his election to the PL executive, the outspoken political activist gave a candid interview on the direction his party should take after the shock election results last June. Micallef insisted that the PL is an “underdog” and gave his take on the notorious “establishment”.
Plenty more interviews are coming up, including a frank discussion with Health Minister Jo Etienne Abela that lasted for almost two hours, and an eye-opening one with Maltese photojournalist Rene Rossignaud, frontlines of the war in Ukraine.
