Four years ago, aged 16, Svein Falzon decided he was tired of wasting time.

Fast forward to today, and Svein, aka the Genetic Anomaly, is possibly Malta’s best hope when it comes to the future of local bodybuilding.

“Most people tell me I’m crazy, but it’s my dream. In Malta, bodybuilding is dead, there’s no one in this generation willing to push themselves to get to pro level.”

“I want to be the first guy in Malta to actually get quite far.”

Lovin Malta met up with Svein at Fort Fitness, Mrieħel, to follow one of his workout sessions and understand more about the beast behind the man.

Svein knows the path he’s chosen will be full of serious physical challenges where he’ll need to torture himself to push through the boundaries – and he’s as excited for it as anyone can be.

Having first hit social media thanks to Bulletproof’s work, Svein’s determined to make a mark on the scene, both locally and internationally.

With the Maltese youth’s videos going viral as we speak and more and more fitness influencers start seeing Svein on their radar, check out what a session with the kid looks like before he blows up and becomes pro.
