Ian and Antonio Cacciattolo Melis chose EuroPride 2023 as the perfect occasion to renew their wedding vows in a heartwarming celebration of love.

The happy couple first crossed paths in early 2011 while training to become flight attendants with Emirates Airline.

Their careers provided the ideal way to explore the world together, taking them to over 70 destinations together.

After six years, they decided to make Malta their home, where they purchased a house and adopted a dog and cat, both of whom they adore.

When Ian and Antonio first met, the option of marriage seemed distant, an unforeseeable dream.

However, on one drunken night out on New Year’s Eve in 2021, Ian surprised Antonio with a proposal, leading to their whirlwind wedding on July 15, 2022.

“It was the most amazing experience ever, very emotional and overwhelming seeing all our family and friend sharing this moment with us making our little circle of love into a family of two,” Ian expressed while speaking to Lovin Malta.

The couple have been together for almost 13 years and they shared the little things that help strengthen their relationship.

“We try to communicate everything even the uncomfortable things, not letting anyone influence our relationship and our goal to grow old and happy together.”

The couple, who tied the knot on the 15th, strive to celebrate their love in unique ways each month.

This month they felt that it was perfect to celebrate by renewing their vows as a way for them not to “take beautiful things for granted.”

Their vow renewal ceremony was officiated by Sherry Vine, a popular drag queen who travelled all the way from the US to be part of the event.

The heartwarming celebration was captured by Flip the Venue and will be featured in an upcoming TV series.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
