In a turn of events, MEP Cyrus Engerer has acknowledged the opposition party for its LGBTQ+ efforts this campaign and slammed Labour’s silence.

“I was surprised to see that the Nationalist Party organised an event at a gay bar on IDAHOBLIT (International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Lesbophobia, and Transphobia) with Bernard Grech in attendance,” Engerer wrote on social media.

“While the Labour Party didn’t even put up a social media post on such an important day – even though it has a track record to be proud of.”

This comes alongside a series of Instagram stories posted tonight by Engerer in which he gave his two cents on this year’s European Parliament campaign.

He gave candid and critical opinions, calling out misinformation campaigns against Roberta Metsola and Peppi Azzopardi while acknowledging that ONE TV has alienated a set of unsure voters.

Do you think the PN is amping up its game when it comes to social issues?
