LISTEN: Tiżfnu Għad-Daqqa Tal-Iżviluppaturi! Popular Moviment Graffitti Anthem Gets A Rave-Infused Treatment
Beating drums, defiant activists, cheeky placards… every Moviment Graffitti protest in recent memory has had a number of similar characteristics, but ringing loudly and proudly every single time are the now-all-too-familiar anthems being shouted down megaphones and MEPA doors. Now, one of their most popular anthems has just been further immortalised.
Moviment Graffitti’s Ti?fnu G?ad-Daqqa Tal-I?viluppaturi has been remixed by none other than Danjeli, one of the alternative scene’s most beloved electronic artists
While a mere repetition of a couple of words, the chant has heavily featured in all the recent Moviment Graffitti protests, with a large banner donning the words always making it to the NGO’s actions.
And if you thought the original chant couldn’t get any catchier, try adding some of Danjeli’s recognisable, acid-infused, rave-fuelled beats in there. Seriously, play this at my funeral.
Well known for his work with local heavyweights Brikkuni and even his participation at the NGO’s actions around the island, Danjeli teased the collab ahead of last night’s Pudina takeover at Earth Garden.
“We spent some time with this guy in a garage with a lot of microphones,” the local NGO followed up ahead of the track’s release.
This is not the first time that Danjeli has used his electro wizardry to raise awareness on Malta’s overdevelopment
Just a couple of months ago, the local DJ kicked 2019 off by releasing Konkrit, a track which has always managed to get crowds going at all the high-octane events that feature Danjeli in their line-ups.
