Sure, going to the beach is great, but so is being surrounded by the few greenery we have. Whether you want to marvel at flowers, find a picnic spot, engage in some physical activity or walk your dog... these parks will do the trick.

1. San Anton Gardens, Attard
San Anton Gardens is a stunning botanical garden that is peaceful and well kept, right next door to the palace that serves as the official residence of the President. Bonus points for it being a spot to see some cats and peacocks!
2. Salina National Park, St Paul's Bay
Who wouldn't want to relax in a park with an outdoor gym, stunning greenery and tons of picnic spots (on the grass or the many picnic tables to choose from)?
3. San Ġwann Dog Park
This park is mostly for dogs and their humans (and the people who want to stalk the dogs of course). It's pretty small but convenient. There's also parking facilities and benches!
4. Buskett Gardens, Siġġiewi
One of the very few woodland areas on the island, the sprawling Buskett was originally planted by the Knights of Malta. It's crazy popular for picnics due to its tranquility and beauty, and the 473,000 square metre area touches both Rabat and Siġġiewi.
5. Selmun Family Park, Mellieħa
This one's for the whole family. It offers an outdoor gym, a running track, a basketball court, a children's playground, a skateboard park, picnic areas and a library.
6. Romeo Romano Gardens, Santa Venera
A peaceful and colourful gem with tons of healthy cats roaming around freely!
