Can You Guess EXACTLY How Much It Rained Yesterday In Malta?

We’ve already told you that yesterday was the wettest day of the year so far, but can you guess exactly how rainy it was? We asked the airport’s Met Office, and this is what we can report. 

First, some clues.

1. There was more rainfall yesterday than during the entire month of October.

October saw 24mm of rain throughout the entire month, and that includes this one day where shit really hit the fan (or at least the boats in Portomaso).

2. If you combine the rainfall from the two other wettest days of the year, you’re pretty much there.

The two other wettest days on record this year were June 24th, which registered 14.7 mm of rainfall, and September 25th, which registered 16.1 mm.

3. Yesterday’s rainfall was TWICE as much as the second wettest day so far

OK, that’s a mouthful, let’s cut to the chase…

29.5mm. There, that’s the answer.
