Did Someone Seriously Dump The Old Valletta Imqaret Kiosk In The Middle Of Siġġiewi?

That's one way to get a date...

There have been a number of cowboy-esque dumping incidents in the last few weeks, but one kiosk may have just taken the award for most stupidly offensive thing this month.

An imqaret kiosk has appeared in the middle of a field in Siġġiewi, near Triq ta' Karlozzu.

Local illustrator Steve Bonello posted the image to his page, commenting wryly with: "There's nothing quite like the countryside in Spring is there?"

According to some people who have also spotted the sad sight, the kiosk has apparently been there for a few months, and the words "imqaret minn tal-Belt" are clearly emblazoned on the side.

Considering the Triton Fountain project led to all the kiosks in the area being removed, the origin of the kiosk becomes much clearer all of a sudden...

Kiosk-owners, if your kiosk gets retired, maybe don't just dump it in the middle of a Siġġiewi field?

What do you make of the kiosk's current resting place?
