Maltese Man Comes Up With Genius DIY Summer Hack For All Beer Lovers
If there’s one thing which is just as difficult as keeping cool in Malta’s blistering summer heat, it’s making sure a can of beer doesn’t up being disgustingly tepid by the time you drink it. This week’s genius post from popular Facebook forum The Salott, however, solves both problems with one fell swoop.
“When your fridge stops working but you still want a cool can of beer,” said the Facebook post, which turned out to be beer cans hanging from a clothes hanger, hooked to an air conditioner’s front panel. Absolutely and ridiculously genius.
The post quickly got nearly 200 likes in less than a day, with people congratulating this new local hero’s imagination and creativity. In fact, as one person perfectly pointed out, “if it’s stupid but it works, it isn’t stupid.” Now there’s a way to clap back at all your haters if they dare to diss your genius DIY idea.
Other comments provided their own life hack stories involving air conditioners and Malta’s heat, and it seemed like this idea isn’t so left field after all. “My dad had an AC 20 years ago which was wall-mounted but was still very close to the floor, and he actually put a tray in it which he purposefully used to cool beer cans,” said one user.
“My dad also had an old AC unit about 20 years ago which he used to use as a cold store for fruit,” another replied.
