Pink October is well and truly underway, with landmarks all over the world shining in the unusually bright colour to promote breast cancer awareness. Back in Malta, the colour has been spotted everywhere from buildings to village squares, but the latest initiative has taken to a slightly different landmark.
Instagram stories and Facebook posts from last night show the Kappara Junction flyover transforming from its usual concrete-and-glass greys and blues to a very bright pink, and it’s safe to say the flyover has never stood out this much.
In fact, the bright new addition to the flyover could even be spotted in daylight as the sun set… and it looks like not everyone was too keen on its intense colour choice.
And while this latest sighting represents an awesome initiative for a very worthy cause, maybe a slightly less shocking shade of pink could’ve been used for something as big and already-in-your-face as the Kappara Junction flyover?
Still though – keep spreading the important Pink October message everyone!
