Malta Ranked Top European Country For Outdoor Festivals In Cotswold Outdoor Study
With summer just round the corner, outdoor equipment brand Cotswold Outdoor has conducted a study analysing the best destinations for outdoor festivals, and Malta’s ranked first.
Malta’s impressive ratio of festivals to population placed it in the top spot, despite its small size and total of four outdoor festivals. From the iconic Summerdaze, to the Malta Jazz Festival in Valletta, to the Isle of MTV at Fosos Square, each event is a standout, attracting artists from all over the world.
With a total of 19 outdoor festivals, ranking second place is Croatia, with events such as the Outlook Festival in Pula’s historic fort and the INmusic Festival in Zagreb. In third place is none other than the Netherlands, particularly Amsterdam, with a total of 52 outdoor festivals. The Amsterdam Dance Event transforms the city into the global hub for electronic music, drawing DJs and music fans from every corner of the world.
Malta’s impressive ranking labels it as an underrated gem when integrating events into our environment. The next large outdoor festival to take place is Earth Garden, from 6th to 9th June, with a diverse line-up of artists, bands and DJs.
