Maltese Man Drives Off With Petrol Pump Nozzle Still In His Car, And It’s Not Pretty

A Maltese driver was given a lesson in removing petrol pumps properly when he’s done with them after he drove away with an active nozzle still in his vehicle, causing damage to both the pump and his own car.

“Message to all – don’t drive away with the petrol nozzle still in your car,” the Instagram page Driven_Leasing shared. “This happened this morning in Malta.”

A picture of the aftermath of the attempted pump-n-drive shows the actual pumping station tipped over from the force of the small blue Citroen pulling away, before being dragged a little bit. In the picture, the female passenger is seen standing outside of the car as the male driver assumedly swears into the steering wheel.

The incident apparently happened at a petrol station in Luqa this morning, though it has yet to be officially confirmed.

No one was injured, and, judging by the look on the passenger’s face, she’s got quite the story to tell over party cocktails for the next few years following this little adventure.

While we aren’t really sure how one can forget the nozzle after literally parking near a pump specifically to use that nozzle, we fully understand that, sometimes, shit just happens.
