Stand With Gaza: Malta To Rally For Global Sumud Flotilla Tonight

Tonight, Moviment Graffitti is organising a stand in solidarity with the Global Sumud Flotilla, which was intercepted last night by Israeli forces while trying to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

They are calling on the public to gather at 6pm in front of Parliament with Palestine flags, placards, and loud voices.

The flotilla, an international mission with over 50 boats and nearly 1,000 volunteers, includes activists such as Greta Thunberg, Mandla Mandela, Italian parliamentarians, journalists, doctors, and artists.

Yesterday, around 200 volunteers were arrested and 13 boats confiscated, while roughly 30 vessels are still heading toward Gaza.

The protest aims to demand safety for the detained volunteers, ensure humanitarian aid reaches Gaza, and push Maltese and EU politicians to take action against Israel’s ongoing siege.

Tonight’s gathering is a chance for the Maltese public to show that they stand with Gaza and the international volunteers risking everything to break the blockade.
