Step Inside The Pembroke High-Rise: An Unparalleled Lavish Playground For The Super Rich
As controversy rages on over the planned high-rise project in Pembroke, the developers behind this venture have argued there is a small segment of Maltese society which is thirsting for its completion.
“When I meet these high-profile clients one to one, they constantly complain about the level of clubs, hotels and restaurants in Malta,” a spokesperson for the db Group told Lovin Malta. “To try and understand their perspective, what’s great by Malta’s standards is average for them. For example, some have even asked us if there will be helipads on the roof of the tower… there won’t be, but that’s the mindset of the people we’re talking about.”
What the bedrooms will look like
These are the super-rich, the people who fly to and from Malta on private jets, and to whom the db Group plans to offer the closest experience to living like royalty that is possible on the island.
The whole point is to make everyday life as similar to living in a five-star hotel as possible. Not only will the rooms themselves be luxurious but a concierge will be available 24/7 and resident cleaners will make sure you won’t even have to get your hands dirty. Butler services will be available if you really want to be waited on hand and foot, Bentley taxis will be on call 24/7 to ferry you around the island, and private wine cellars will be set up and taken care of by a sommelier.
Just as a five star hotel, the db Tower will offer several amenities, including private infinity pools, a private beach club and a state of the art fitness centre.
The tower will be just part of an entire complex, the rest of which will be open to the public. A Hard Rock will be built nearby and on its roof will be Malta’s first ‘Millionaires Club’. Db’s spokesperson said this nightclub won’t be exclusive per se, but entry and drinks will be priced high enough to ensure it will be a place where the rich can mingle with each other.
Michelin-starred fine dining restaurants will open up branches on the complex, and a shopping mall with global retail brands and a supermarket will be built too. Of course, if you’re feeling too lazy to do the shopping yourself, then the db Tower’s staff will do it for you and leave it on your doorstep.
“There are many high-net-worth people in Malta who spend loads of money here, and we are promising to give them a sky-high quality living experience,” db’s spokesperson said. “There has been significant interest in this project from Maltese and foreign investors alike and some floors have already been reserved on a promise of sale.”
