Students’ Fest Turns 16: A Nostalgic Night Of Music, Laughs And Iconic Moments

The Kunsill Studenti Universitarji (KSU) is celebrating 16 years of Students’ Fest with a one-off anniversary production on Friday 5th September at Pjazza Teatru Rjal.
This milestone edition promises to be a trip down memory lane, combining 16 years of iconic scenes, unforgettable characters, and fan-favourite musical numbers into a single performance. Expect highlights from past hits like Ommi Ma, Oh My Hairspray, Hercules, Xrekk, and Alice in Bormla, offering a mix of nostalgia, laughs, and musical magic.
The production is held in collaboration with the Malta Arts Council, whose ongoing support continues to nurture student creativity and cultural participation across the islands. It’s a celebration of talent, imagination, and the vibrant spirit of University of Malta students, past and present.
As part of the University’s 125th anniversary celebrations, this special performance also gives back: all proceeds will be donated to Puttinu Cares, supporting children and families facing serious illness.
Doors open at 7:30pm, with the performance kicking off at 8pm. By revisiting the best of more than a decade and a half of productions, this anniversary event honours the generations of students who have shaped this beloved cultural tradition, while reinforcing KSU’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
