That’s Got To Hurt: Cleaner Injured At Maltese Beach After Sharp Object Tossed Into The Bin

A public cleaner needed medical intervention after he was injured by sharp objects that someone had thrown into a bin at the Surfside beach in Sliema.

The Cleansing and Maintenance Division uploaded a photo of the worker getting stitched up as it urged the public to show some responsibility.

“When we ask for respect, we aren’t asking for charity but for everyone to do their duty,” it said. “One must be responsible when disposing of rubbish because workers are humans like us, and throwing [a dangerous item] into a black bag won’t remove the danger.”
