Francesca Rausi, a three-year-old girl with Down Syndrome, stole people’s hearts to win the ‘Best Cutie Little Model’ award at a national modelling show last night.
Francesca also won the televoting award and placed second in her category of young models at the show, which was organised by modelling events guru Ivan Gaffiero and held at the Montekristo Estates.

“Thanks for all the people that support inclusion and voted for Franny, you are the change xxx #nothingdown#weareable,” her mother Michelle Rausi posted on Facebook after the competition.
Interviewed by Newsbook last week, Michelle said she used to disagree with parents turning their children into models at such a young age. However, she changed her mind after realising that it was a perfect way to raise awareness about the reality of living with Down Syndrome.
“These children can do things just like other children, if we only give them a chance,” she explained.
