Watch: First Steel Structures For Msida Creek Flyover Delivered As Project Enters Second Phase

A key milestone in the Msida Creek project as the first two steel beams were delivered from Ħal Far to Msida yesterday night.

The Msida Creek Project forms part of a wider initiative to improve safety and reduce congestion in one of Malta’s busiest traffic junctions. It was launched in November 2024 and includes pedestrian and cycling lanes, new road networks and a redesigned quay.

In just over four months, 20% of the project has already been completed.These steel beams will form the first span of 28 metres in length and weighs approximately 60 tonnes. Infrastructure Malta also reminded commuters that some routes in the Msida area were altered as of Saturday to accommodate the works and urged the public to follow updated signs and traffic directions.
