Ħamrun’s streets erupted into a sea of blue and red this afternoon as crowds gathered for the feast of San Gejtanu, a celebration many say is one of Malta’s biggest and most electrifying marches.

Banners, statues, and the powerful sounds of traditional bandas filled the streets, with music echoing through every corner of the town. The two legendary rival band clubs, “Tal-Miskina” and “Tat-Tamal”, whose headquarters stand a mere 200 metres apart, brought their age-old competitive spirit to the festivities.

The vibrant energy spilled onto social media, with countless attendees sharing their favourite moments, from the colourful decorations to the electric atmosphere that gripped Ħamrun throughout the day.
