WATCH: Shorts And A Pool Float! How To Make The Most Of Rain Showers And Flooded Streets In Malta

Forget swimming in the sea, let’s go swimming in the streets!

Malta’s weather has been throwing a hissy fit lately. From hot, sunny days to thunderstorms and rain showers, we got all four seasons in just one week. As is the case every year in Malta, as soon as the first rain hits the island, chaos ensues. Streets start flooding, traffic builds up, people cancel their meetings and everyone stays inside. It’s like we’ve never seen rain before.

But then there is this guy…

In a video sent to Lovin Malta, a young teen can be seen embracing the worst of the weather by rocking up to the streets with a green alligator pool float and diving straight into a muddy rain puddle.

The young lad enjoys a brief swim in the murky water before getting up and walking away, probably because he realised that cholera isn’t the best thing to have ahead of the weekend…

The video seems to be shot near the Islet Promenade in Buġibba where streets seem to have flooded from yesterday’s rain showers, resulting in water levels rising as high as a car’s bumper.

But despite the absolute mess of it all, this guy found a way to enjoy yesterday’s rain, kudos!
