Watch: Works Halted After Girl Spotted On Top Floor Of St Julian’s Construction Site

Workplace safety authorities have stopped operations at a St Julian’s construction site after footage emerged appearing to show a young girl on the top floor without any protective equipment.

The video, originally shared on Facebook by Arnold Cassola, shows the girl peering over a stack of concrete bricks barely reaching her waist. A man stands nearby, and neither appears to be wearing helmets or other safety gear.

The footage was passed on to both the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA) and the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), who have ordered an immediate stop to all works on the site while a thorough inquiry is carried out.

Officials have strongly appealed to the public to report such cases directly via the 138 hotline rather than circulating footage on social media, stressing that prompt reporting can help prevent accidents and ensure swift enforcement of safety measures.
