Article Featured Image

Żejtun has made fireworks history with a dazzling ground display that set a new record in the Maltese islands during this year’s Santa Katarina feast celebrations.

The Santa Katarina VM Banda Żejtun Pyrotechnic Commission pulled off a full ground fireworks show entirely powered by gas, with each piece changing colour at least three times. The display kicked off with static colours and ended with an eye-catching strobe effect that lit up the night.

In total, 11 wheels were fired during the week of festivities, marking another proud moment for the team behind the show.

This latest record crowns what has already been a memorable year for Żejtun’s fireworks enthusiasts, following their win at the national ground fireworks festival at the Granaries in Floriana.

Massive well done to the Santa Katarina VM Banda Żejtun and all those who made this fiery spectacle one for the books.
