Malta Given Release Date For New iPhone Xs, Xs Max And iPhone XR
Superfans of Apple technology were on the edge of their seats as CEO Tim Cook explained all the flashy new phones dropping this year. Maltese buyers joined the hype train as our island was finally included in the list of countries mentioned alongside an official release date.
So mark your calendars, if you’re ready to pay Apple’s highest price point yet, the new phones will be out in Malta on September 28th. Countries like the UK and US will have access to the phone one week earlier as it rolls out on September 21st.
While boasting new levels of waterproof technology and a better camera, the reveal wasn’t particularly shocking when compared to previous iterations of the iPhone.
What did stun some people was the price. The 512GB version of the iPhone XS will be around €1,200. The 512GB iPhone XS Max will put a €1,300 dent in your pocket. Seems pretty steep.
The phones come with a 12-megapixel dual camera, and a 7-megapixel front-facing camera, and can last up to 30 minutes in water up to two meters deep.
The screen sizes are 5.8-inch (458 ppi) and 6.5-inch (458 ppi), and come with Apple’s 3D Touch technology and a faster version of their Face ID system.
Offering three colour choices, namely gold, silver and space grey, the price fluctuates based on storage space, which starts at 64GB and goes all the way up to 512GB.
