Malta Isn’t Doing So Well In Map Showing The Most Beautiful People In Europe
Reddit is home to frequent polls and forums with very revealing answers, and one such post decided to look at the most attractive people in Europe. Taking the huge r/europe section of Reddit, nearly 2,000 people voted, and it’s not looking so hot for Malta.
Sweden took the top spot with an impressive 518 votes, with countries like France (134), Spain (103) and Norway (100) following.
And Malta? Well… we got a grand total of 0 votes.
Two other countries also got absolutely no votes, namely Macedonia, Luxembourg and San Marino.
Monaco, Liechtenstein and Cyprus only got one vote each, but that’s one vote more than the Maltese Islands.
As a post by The Culture Trip explained, of course, “due to the small polling size, these results can’t be taken as gospel”. However, with some stereotypes such as Scandinavian beauty effectively coming out in the map, we couldn’t help but think whether this is really what Europe thinks of us.
“Luxembourg and Malta didn’t even get a sympathy vote? Savage,” one comment said, with another rubbing more salt in the wound with a, “Macedonians, Maltans and San Marino’s must be ugly”.
Interestingly (and weirdly) enough, The Vatican City got 33 votes… not only beating countries like Turkey, Slovenia and Portugal, but also Malta! It seems like the Pope is more than just a figure of piousness for many.
