Malta’s hip-hop scene has improved in leaps and bounds over the last few years, with some exceptional rappers, producers and DJs making noise around the island – but they’ve never come together under one roof until now.

The Funky Monkey Hip-Hop Fest is Malta’s first hip-hop fest, with 21 local and foreign acts bringing everything from old-school, nu-school, rap, trap, and everything in between.

“To all you hip-hop supporters, artists and DJs – tonight we party as one family in the name of hip-hop,” said Digby, rapper and organiser of the festival. “Malta’s finest hip hop artists and DJs will be in the building giving you an experience to remember. Also on the bill we got three foreign DJs and one female emcee coming from England and Amsterdam respectively. It is with great pleasure that I present to you the first ever hip-hop festival in Malta – and it surely won’t be the last. Let’s get it!”
