Malta’s Ranking Isn’t Great In The First International Eurovision Odds
The first predictions for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest have been compiled from 12 of the biggest international bookmakers’ odds, and it’s not looking too good for Malta’s hopes.
Listing all 43 songs of this year’s competition, Eurovision World has placed Claudio Faniello’s entry at 37th.
Italy’s Francesco Gabbani is the strong favourite, with Belgium and Sweden trailing behind in second and third respectively.
Ever the controversial participant (for obvious geographical reasons), Australia’s initial odds stand at a comfortable sixth place, while 2016 winners Ukraine are lost in the midst of it all at 26th.
Here’s hoping that Claudio Faniello’s entry, with the slight tweaks unveiled last week (alongside the release of the official music video and stunning photoshoot), pushes on forward and climbs that list ahead of the big night in May.
