Inspo Queens: Young Maltese Artist Dedicates Her Talents To Highlighting Island’s Most Inspirational Women
For millennia, artists have used their talents to inspire, teach or admire. And while the definition and source of inspiration have definitely changed a whole lot since then, the admiration is still very much strong with this one.
20-year-old local artist Gaby Borg’s Instagram page is filled with splending sketches and colourful pieces, including, most eye-catchingly, the recent posts which form a part of an ongoing project.
Gaby’s Inspiring Women project looks at just that; some of Malta’s biggest female movers and shakers
The Instagram page is not only a platform for her to display her skill in digital arts, but a dedication to the many inspiring Maltese women who have made a name for themselves in so many different scenes, from make-up to politics and everything in between.

Till now, much of her work has focused on women who have built up a social media following in the sectors of fashion, design and fitness.
But Gaby has also used her work to shine a spotlight on two of the most active women in Maltese politics – Roberta Metsola and Miriam Dalli.
While Gaby’s still a very young artist, her work has already caught the eye of some of her inspirations, with a few of them giving her a shout out and complimenting her on her skills.
