Maltese Group Tells People To Take A Hike… And Shows Them Exactly Where To Go

While many of us crave the touch of nature after endless hours stuck in an office or classroom, the ever-growing development across our island can make it feel like we have nowhere left to go to commune with nature.
Local group Malta Great Walks wants to change that, and they’re putting their money where their mouth is by creating a comprehensive database of hikes that are being organised every month all over the island.
From Qammieħ to Wied id-Dis, the team of Malta Great Walks just wants to get your body moving, and if you learn a thing or two about the villages you pass through or the wildlife you encounter it’s even better.
The page posts events being hosted by different organisers and includes everything from panoramic walks to village crawls and early-morning power walks. There’s something for everyone, and no excuse to ditch.
