Maltese Student Organisation Calls For Clarifications Over COVID-19 Measures Ahead Of August Exams

Student organization, Pulse, has published a statement addressing their questions and concerns regarding the rapidly-approaching August Examinations amid a COVID-19 spike.

“Pulse cannot let this situation go without raising its concerns on how stressful these past two weeks have been for students, with all the uncertainty going on,” they say shedding light on what Maltese students are going through right now.

The group made points about the need for clarification regarding many issues including on how social distancing measures will be enforced and whether masks are obligatory or not, as well as the exact number of students in each room and the venues which will be used.

They also call on the education ministry to keep students informed on any contingency plan they have in place if a cluster does emerge from the “mass events”.

“We will continue to put pressure on all relevant authorities to ensure that students’ health will be safeguarded,” says Pulse.
