As L-Għaliex prepares to premiere, we’re going to introduce the dynamic partnership behind this innovative podcast series collaborating with Lovin Malta.

Matthew Bartolo and Joseph Agius bring a plethora of experience, skill and personality to the show, making each episode as educational as it is entertaining.

Matthew Bartolo is a seasoned psychotherapist and coach with extensive experience in mental fitness, relationship dynamics and entrepreneurial skills.  His significant experience dealing with various clients has given him a thorough grasp of human behaviour and tremendous empathy and active listening skills.

Bartolo uses his talent to produce entertaining and transformational discussions as a presenter.  He uniquely translates complex psychological principles into approachable and practical insights.  His lively speaking style and his experience in mental fitness and resilience make him a popular speaker at workshops, conferences and corporate training sessions.

Joseph Agius is a multi-dimensional talent in Malta’s entertainment business, having worked as a producer, presenter and writer for both theatre and television.  His artistic career began with producing and writing for numerous theatrical performances, which led him to work as a screenwriter for Take-Two productions.  Notable efforts from this era include a satirical programme, the feature film Seven Doors and Rolling.

His work further demonstrated Joseph’s flexibility and originality as a researcher and writer for the TV programme Kont Taf?, followed by the daily TV programme Il-Kumitat, which aired on TVM and was presented by Ron Briffa, Luke Dalli and Amber Bondin.  For the last three years, Joseph has produced the discussion show Awla on ONE TV, presented by Luke Dalli, which delves into central themes.  His ability to engage people led to his appearance on ONE TV’s Indigo show.

Joseph broadened his horizons last year by diving into the realm of podcasting.  He co-produced and co-hosted Tan-Nejk, a podcast about sex. This programme demonstrated Joseph’s ability to address delicate themes with delicacy and understanding.

The cooperation between Bartolo and Agius combines the best of both worlds: psychological understanding and entertainment expertise.  L-Għaliex promises to be more than a podcast, delving into the motives underlying human behaviour.

L-Għaliex will start on 31st July and air every three weeks on Wednesdays at 8pm on Matthew Bartolo’s Facebook and Lovin Malta. Tune in to hear them discuss the fundamental “whys” that influence our lives and society.
