Mark Galea, Christian Bezzina and Clint Abela have been drifting as Team Maximum Lock for seven years. Since their first show in May 2010, the trio have toured the world with their stunt driving, becoming not only the biggest name in drifting in Malta, but just as big of a name abroad.

Mixing synchronised and precision driving with some over-the-top stunts, the group have been steadily impressing people worldwide, and have now built up a massive following of over 130,000 people on Facebook.

Back in 2012, the trio were rewarded the Vodafone Raise Your Game Award by none other than F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton. Three years later, they released a short film, Drift Rush, featuring Malta’s own diva Ira Losco. Spoiler alert: it turns out Ira was the one driving around the island with those pro skills (promise).

Nowadays, TML are busy burning rubber, putting up explosive shows full of fireworks and impressive stunts.

This October, Team Maximum Lock are coming back to Malta. The trio are putting up a Gymkhana event, a motorsport competition which is all about speed and style.

The event will require drivers to perform 180 degree spins, figure 8s, fast reversals, and other advanced skills, and as expected, drifting is heavily encouraged. The competition is open for the 30 cars in three different classes of, with a great deal of prizes available. This is the seventh time that such an event was organised by TML, but this time, they’ve upped the ante by planning to have it at night.

TML will also be doing what they do best at the Badger Karting course on the 21st of October, and tickets can be found on their official website.
