After winning the very first X Factor Malta, 17-year-old Michela Pace returned home to Gozo where she was greeted by a crowd of excited fans, some confetti canons, and a bouquet of flowers.
Fans gathered outside the St. Francis church in Victoria
And waited eagerly as speakers blasted recordings of Michela’s performances from the various X Factor Malta episodes. As Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana embraced the X Factor star and presented her with a bouquet of flowers, Michela recited her signature “grazzi lil poplu Maltin u Għawdxin” (“thank you to the people of Malta and Gozo”), and then went on to signing autographs.
It is unclear how Michela will be working on her Eurovision entry now that the show is over, but whatever it is we’re sure it will sound amazing. It’s clear that she already has a large following behind her, so there can only be great things ahead for Michela!
