4 Dream Boy Bands Malta Needs Right This Second
As Malta’s music scene continues to grow, one serious gap in the market is a new boy band that’ll make waves like never before. From The Backstreet Boys to One Direction – they’ve all made it to the top on the strength of their fans’ rabid adoration.
Here are our suggestions for groups that need to be a thing.
1. Pretty Bae
Members: Joe Roscoe, Klinsmann Coleiro, Kevin Paul Calleja, Ben Camille, Sean Manche
With good looks to back up this boy band, they’re guaranteed superstardom. We’re not being overly ambitious when we claim these can be our own One Direction, with one specific member being the first to Zayn Malik it and leave to pursue a steamy solo career (… Manche, we’re looking at you).
2. In-Neputi
Members: Gianluca Bezzina, Jean Pierre Cassar, Franklin Calleja
Rocking the cute vibe, this band will have all the girls and boys screaming, and dreaming they were their lovers. Probably fronted by Bezzina, their songs would be played at every big event, from after-school socials to weddings.
3. Azure
Members: Chris Grech, Richard Edwards, Kevin Borg, Fr. Rob Galea
A dash of nostalgia never hurt anyone. Reminding everyone of the good old days, these boys would pull a slightly older crowd, the kind who’d remember the Backstreet Boys’ glory days.
4. Boċċi Club
Members: Mario Vella, Justin Galea, Pawlu Borg Bonaci
There’s no way to tell in which direction this band would take their music style, but we sure as hell would be interested in literally anything they produced. Bridging the alternative scene with the boy band loving teens, this last group could turn out to be an incredible phenomenon.
