Applications Now Open For Mużika Mużika 2026
Malta’s iconic song festival is back. Mużika Mużika is officially accepting applications for its sixth edition, which will take place between 19th and 21st March 2026.
If you’ve been working on something special, now’s your time.
Entries can be submitted online at www.muzikamuzika.mt until 19th September 2025, or handed in at the Festivals Malta offices in Floriana on 18th and 19th September 2025.

Speaking at the launch, Minister for Culture Owen Bonnici said the festival continues to grow as a powerful platform for Maltese artists, adding that it reflects the government’s commitment to celebrating local talent and national identity. He encouraged creatives to take part and keep Malta’s musical voice alive and thriving.
Also present were Aaron Zahra, Chairman of Festivals Malta, Frans Agius, CEO of Festivals Malta, Raymond Bugeja, Chairman of the Mużika Mużika Board, and Paul Abela, Artistic Director. The team shared how preparations are already in motion and promised that next year’s edition will raise the bar even higher.
Just like every year, Mużika Mużika remains focused on giving space to original compositions in the Maltese language.
During the same event, the spotlight was also on this year’s winners. Jamie Cardona took home first place with the powerful “Stajna Konna Aħna”, written by Cardona and Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur, with music by the duo and Shaun Farrugia.

In second place was Brooke with her song “Tiegħek Jien”, written by Emil Calleja Bayliss and composed by Brooke and Cyprian Cassar. Third place went to “Perfett” by Pamela Bezzina, who wrote, composed and performed the track herself.
There were also special awards handed out on the night. Lisa Gauci won Best Interpretation for her song “Aħjar”, while Ryan Paul Abela was recognised for Best Musical Arrangement on the same track.
Festivals Malta and the Mużika Mużika team thanked all the artists who took part this year and congratulated the winners for their incredible performances.
