Applications Open For Rock’N Malta 2026 With €1 Million Fund To Boost Local Rock Scene
Applications are now open for the Rock’N Malta 2026 Fund, which this year comes with a total allocation of €1 million.
The Minister for Culture, Lands and Local Government, Owen Bonnici, launched the call for applications for the Rock’N Malta Fund 2026, which aims to support organisers, promoters, artists and bands involved in rock music events.
The fund is once again being administered by Festivals Malta.
“This is another strong step towards strengthening the rock music scene in our country. Initiatives like these provide an opportunity for local artists and promoters to showcase their talent and create high-quality events. I would like to thank Festivals Malta for continuing to be such an important pillar in Maltese culture,” Minister Bonnici said.
“For another consecutive year, we’re relaunching this fund which offers substantial support to organisers and promoters in the rock music scene. We remain committed to investing in this sector to continuously enhance the quality of local events. I encourage promoters and organisers to take up our invitation and apply for this fund,” Festivals Malta Chairman, Aaron Zahra, added.
“Rock’N Malta is a key platform for Festivals Malta, as through this fund we reach a musical sector that is immensely popular locally. Thanks to the assistance provided, this year we’ve hosted several renowned acts such as Dire Straits Legacy, Apocalyptica and Zucchero, while also supporting a number of local festivals including Rockwired, Rock the South, Dark Malta and many others,” Festivals Malta CEO, Frans Agius, commented.
Applications for the Rock’N Malta 2026 Fund close on 21st November 2025.
