Winter Moods frontman Ivan Grech held a one-off concert at Ta’ Liesse, Valletta earlier this summer and it turns out they raised over €30,000 for Puttinu Cares.

Everyone seems to be rallying around Puttinu Cares and their efforts to develop a block of apartments in London for their patients, and Ivan Grech isn’t one to shy away from such a great cause.

His annual concert attracted over 3000 people to the show and, thanks to generous donations and ticket sales, raised a total of  €32,758.27 for the foundation.

“I am delighted with the show, the amazing feedback we received and especially about the donation for Puttinu. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported and donated. It was a pleasure to work with Puttinu on another event. It was a memorable night. Raising over €32,000 for Puttinu through one concert is a big satisfaction,” said Ivan Grech in a press release.

Ivan was joined on stage by several notable acts including Maltese-Australian musician Nicky Bomba, Michael Caruana from the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, and upcoming Britain’s Got Talent star, Giorgia Borg.

The funds from the concert will go towards Puttinu’s current project, which involves buying 30-40 studio apartments in the heart of London so that people seeking treatment may have a place to stay, without being hindered by accommodation costs.

“I would like to thank the sponsors who rallied to our support as well as the numerous entities and authorities who helped us put together this event. It is through their support that we can donate the full ticket proceeds to Puttinu.”

Puttinu is one step closer to reaching their goal thanks to the work of Ivan Grech. The foundation now has its eyes set on their annual football and volleyball tournament which will be held on the 13th, 14th and 15th of September.
