We know why you’re here, you know why you’re here.

The echo of absolute festive bangers is resonating around our house, your house and every single road in Malta. And while everyone has their favourite tunes, we’ve helpfully (you’re welcome) set up a list to get you feeling the Christmas vibes with a couple of days to go.

1. Brenda Lee – Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree

This song has everything.

The voice of Brenda Lee has us spinning in our nostalgic water proof boots. The funky tune and the jazzy solo will make you feel cooler than a penguin’s feet.

2. Mariah Carey – All I Want For Christmas Is You

The song that makes the girls wish they could sing as well as the great Carey, and the boys wish they could get her gift wrapped.

With almost 500 million views on the music video, there’s no denying this is one of the biggest festive classics out there… and not just because our very own Chucky making sure it survives every single year by looping it everywhere.

3. Michael Bublé – Jingle Bells

Who else?

A Christmas without his excellence Mr. Bublé is a Christmas not worth having. Delivering a refreshing take on the classic Jingle Bells tune, Mr. Bublé along with the Puppini Sisters show us exactly how to cover a classic.

4. Wham! – Last Christmas

It would be considered blasphemy to make a list of Christmas songs without including this vintage festive tune.

And hey, at the end of the day, we’re sure anyone can relate with the lyrics. Take it away WHAM!

5. Band Aid 1984 – Do they Know it’s Christmas

We’d like to think Christmas beings out the best in everyone, and in 1984 the Band Aid initiative surly showed us that.

Huge artistic names and bands from around the world teamed up together to ask one question, “Do they know it’s Christmas time at all?” In a period of the year when everyone is focused on their immediate family, it’s important to remember the wider family we’re part of and find some time for charity.

6. Jackson 5 – I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

Possibly a tune that had us thinking twice about leaving the cookies outside for Santa when we were younger. The Jackson 5’s take on the Christmas classic will have us rocking out in an ever-growing suspicion of our mother’s relationship with Santa. Oh jeez.

7. Michael Bublé – Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Guess who’s back?

It might just be our man crush talking, but Michael Bublé absolutely kills this track. Enjoy ladies and gentlemen.
