Emma Muscat, the beloved Maltese singer currently battling her way through the Italian TV series Amici, showed off her pipes in some spectacular covers.
Having advanced to the third stage of the show, Emma delighted crowds with her rendition of Coldplay’s inspirational track A Sky Full Of Stars. Emma dedicated the song to the late Swedish DJ Avicii, saying he’ll be missed and that he made the whole world move to his music.
She then tore through a soulful rendition of Ed Sheeran’s Perfect, a track that she’s performed on multiple occasions on the show. Her pitch perfect cover had the judges staring intently and the crowd swaying and singing along to the romantic power ballad.
Representing the white team, Emma performed a duet with Irama, another contestant on the show. The duo covered Lukas Graham’s 7 Years, and featured Irama rapping some verses – but it was the Maltese singer that stole the performance, outclassing her fellow singer in the performance.
The singer passed through the third round and is now headed to compete in the fourth round.
