Faniello Siblings And Owen Leuellen Team Up For 25th Anniversary Revamp Of Iconic Song ‘Sal-Aħħar Nifs’ In Aid Of Dar Bjorn
Eurovision veteran Fabrizio Faniello will be collaborating with his sister Claudia and rapper Owen Leuellen to revamp his iconic song for its 25th-anniversary celebration, in aid of Dar Bjorn.
A fundraising marathon for DAR Bjorn, a pioneering neurological home in Malta founded by Bjorn Formosa, will be held on Sunday 22nd September on all main television channels.
“What is more beautiful than dedicating your life to helping others in need? For this reason, I promise to keep helping until my final breath!”, Bjorn stated, hence the name of the fundraiser “Sal-Aħħar Nifs”.
“We’ll reveal this new song to support Dar Bjorn on Saturday 4th May on ONE.com.mt at 8pm,” Fabrizio Faniello announced in a social media post.
4th May also happens to be the first anniversary of Djar Bjorn in Żebbuġ.
Two days ago, Bjorn took to social media to announce that Fabrizio “has challenged himself to produce this year’s official song, ‘Sal-Aħħar Nifs’. It just so happens that this legendary song is celebrating 25 years since the public first heard it.”
“We kept the same lyrics but added a nice surprise. With Fabrizio, there will be two other singers,” Bjorn teased in his post, thanking Philip Vella and Sean Vella for “the new and fresh arrangement”.
Bjorn later confirmed that Fabrizio’s sister Claudia will be collaborating on the revamped version of the iconic track.
A day after, the DAR Bjorn founder revealed the final surprise – former X Factor finalist Owen Leuellen will also be collaborating with the sibling duo.
